What the internet owes me

by Tim Whiston

What does the internet owe me for all my hard work? What am I entitled to in return for the money I spend advertising my business every month? What, in the grand scheme of things, do I rightly deserve for giving 100% of myself to the success of my networking ventures? Not a single thing.

Don't misunderstand me here. The question is not "What would I like to see in the way of profits from my efforts?" Clearly, I hope and work for the best possible results.

However, my projections and anticipations are an entirely seperate issue for the moment. The matter at hand is the ideal the we deserve success because, after all, the internet "levels the playing field".

Are You Still Looking For The Magic Button

by Mike Paetzold

There are certain myths that just amaze this old bald guy all the time. The truly amazing thing is the number of people that believe some of them.

Somewhere out there is a magic button that I can push and all of a sudden I will be wealthy with no effort just from the power of my computer.

Now those that have built a large and responsive list actually have such a button. The problem is that nobody that has that got it instantly or without spending time and money to create it. Yes they can put together a sales message and send it to their list and make hundreds or even thousands of dollars almost instantly. Read entire article

The Marketer's Number One Enemy

by Mike Paetzold

Probably the biggest enemy every new marketer faces is action or rather the lack of action.

You decide you want to learn about a topic and start by doing a google search. Well, that gives you 14,572,472 different sources for information for your topic. Gee, if you try to look at only 1% of the pages that have shown up you now have enough to read and learn from that sometime six weeks from now you can start to take action.

The amount of information available on almost any topic can be totally overwhelming. More important is that total lack of action that has happened. Remember that knowledge is not power no matter what you have heard. Applied knowledge is power. Until there is an action that uses the knowledge it is absolutely worthless.

The same problem comes about from attending seminars. I recently attended one on list building given by a mentor of mine, Robert Puddy. He talked about writing an e-book that would help members in a favorite program of each person in attendance and using that as a giveaway to help build your list.

Now there were almost 50 people in attendance that night that heard this idea. (By the way it works and I have used it in creating "Tracking Your Way To Profits".) Of the 50 people that heard this idea only one person actually implemented it. Within the week this person had created a tutorial for his favorite traffic exchange, got the owner to gladly promote it to his members and actually began getting subscribers to his list.

Every one in the room that night left with the same knowledge. Only the one who took action benefited from the knowledge.

I recently did a report that showed how I added 68 subscribers to my list and turned a profit of $0.75 per subscriber. This report was very specific and showed anyone how they could duplicate it and continue to use the system as an addition to their list building. Despite having almost 500 people download that report at this point no one has taken the first step to put it into motion. (I know because it takes a purchase to set it up and I have checked with the owner of the service.)

How much worthless knowledge do you have that is only worthless because you have never taken any action?

Do your self a favor and decide that you will take action today on one bit of knowledge that you have accumulated. Make that knowledge have power because you have acted.
